Novita since years ago has involved in community development activities, including teaching how to process waste. She deeply concern about waste management.
Along with her college friend,
Ovy they both joined forces to
create Rebricks as part of the plastic waste solution in Indonesia
Ovy helps her parents in managing a brick and paving block business. Ovy was intrigued to add value to paving block products. In June 2017, Ovy and her college friend Novita agreed to take a challenge together to find a way to process plastic waste into material building in Rebricks.
Deni has more than 10 years of work experience in project management, technical advisory, policy advice, and networking in the field of climate finance and sustainable finance. Deni specializes as a key networker and has a good contribution to advise and support related policymakers in Indonesia (i.e. Ministry of Finance, Ministry of National Planning Agency, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesian Finance Authorities (OJK), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources). It is included providing inputs for policy recommendations (presidential regulation, ministerial regulation, bylaws, SOPs, etc.) as well as restructuring the instruments/ schemes applied. Under GIZ Indonesia, Deni is responsible for the sustainable energy finance topic as a key instrument to support the changing narrative of the direction of the development sector in Indonesia that complies with the SDGs and Paris Agreement.
